The White Collar Big Bang has a fairly long challenge period - April to September - six months if my math is correct. Previous rounds have operated well under a regime of benevolent neglect. The mods popped in on occasion to let writers know when things were due, but basically left people alone in their creative endeavors

I already have a decent number of long fic projects going, and no guarantee of when they'll be done, so I probably won't sign up :/ If one of my WIPs begins to show sings of a definite end in sight, though, I might just.

FWIW, both the venting comm and the Cafe sound great! I especially like the Cafe idea.

Agreed with aragarna on the chat. I'm not in Europe, but it'd be significantly easier for me to join the chat with Europe timings than with US timings.

I've never written meta before, I could try, maybe, if I don't sign up :D

You should sign up! If just to give you the impetus to finish a project.

We're definitely going to be more considerate of our non-US members and schedule chat times more amenable to people in Europe and India. What is the time difference for you?

I'll definitely think about it! All depends on the state of the WIP at the time :)

I'm in India, so the official time zone is GMT +5:30.

That means 9 p.m. for me is somewhere between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Europe and somewhere between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the US. (according to the sites I just visited, at least.)

Okay - that's doable. If we set up chats for mid-morning (US-Eastern) Saturdays or Sundays, you would be able to join in?
