I'm getting married!
You read it...Clay proposed to me on the 23rd of December and I said yes. There is a beautiful three stone diamond ring on my hand. It's even engraved on the inside (says past, present, future with two diamonds set into the band of the ring on the inside). There are 11 diamonds in all (three big...eight small ones)
All parents are excited, all relatives are excited and friends who know are excited. I've already picked out my bridesmaids and Maid of Honor, flower girl, ring bearer, and Clay has chosen a few of his groomsmen and his Best Man.
Wedding is set for June 27th of 2009...I'm sooo excited! We wanted a year and a half to save for the wedding and a down payment on a nice little house.
Colors are royal blue, light blue, and white. Look beautiful on a few of the dresses I have chosen for the bridesmaids, flower girl and my own gown.
We've been looking at a few sites for the ceremony and reception. So far Ashton Gardens looks really nice. It's about 5,000 to rent the site for the ceremony (held in a beautiful indoor chapel) and the reception in their amazing ballrooms. Clay and I scheduled a time to go look at it in person and see what we think. We'll probably end up spending 9,000 on the wedding and another 9,000 for a down payment on the house.
We're looking to have about 150 - 200 guests.
