For Love or For Granted

Searching for that inner affection of love within me
It's not hard to find as long as you got yours to give me
That's really all I ask for, that you not fake caring for me
Because being affectionate towards me is mandatory
No excuses or stories, I'm not a materialistic nigga
I'm just trying to take a lil' bit of love and make it bigger
At the same time maybe get a nice lil' hold around your figure
And give you that queen status, seeing as how you seem to be putting your signature
On my heart, but I warn you, don't use or abuse me, for I'm a gift
From God, I am here to do more than just uplift
Your soul just because you need a shoulder to lean on
I'm here to create a love that can forever live on
And thrive, making you feel alive like a baby on his or her first day breathing
You say you never had a love like this, well it's time to start achieving
Because where you at now, you can't find this love there
You've been trying all your life, stressing and ripping out your hair
Like things are gonna change, but things don't change unless they want to
More importantly, change must officially start with you
You can't go all your life thinking this is all you're ever gonna get
Dealing with them niggas that ain't bout nothing, looking for something is bullshit
You got a good guy, whose patience is higher than most
And willing to travel with you from coast to coast
Gives you hope when others give you nothing but doubt and stupidity
When you down and out he gives you his spiritual energy
Saying that you stronger than what words can describe and what eyes see
Don't take his love for granted, killing him emotionally
Because he put all of himself into one being and that was you
He may piss you off but no one's perfect not even you
Maybe his imperfection blinds your perception of how you think he always gonne be
But he's gonna fall short at times; it's a human technicality!
Cause in reality all he knows is romance and is about emotional growth
With a spiritual connection where you both
Can grow and the "he" in this poem if you haven't realized
Is actually refering to me, the one you idolize
Imperfection is my birthmark but expecting perfection is like looking for failure
Cause I am not perfect, you want perfect, trying going to Jesus Christ, our savior
