Notes about LOST (6.16) - "What They Died For"

Greetings from Las Vegas folks!! We're on our honeymoon, but after a long train ride out here (34 hours, but we saw some amazing scenery), we spent today as a lazy day, which included a great episode of LOST. We made sure to book a room with an HD TV too, which is a HUGE plus, but on the downside, no DVR! Meh! But I guess if I miss anything, I'll ( Read more... )

I think the concert is of vital importance. Everyone is going to end up there. Miles and his father (Pierre Chang), and the Japanese guy (whose son was playing when we saw Jack's son's audition), and Desmond is making sure Kate and Sayid and Hurley are there. Miles said Charlotte will be there. I'm sure Sawyer will end up going. I don't know how the rest (like Sun and Jin or Locke) will end up there, but I'm almost positive they will be. It HAS to be important. My guess is once everyone gets together, something will happen to destroy this alternate reality. I don't think Locke walking or being operated on will even get the chance to happen (just the fact that he WANTS to be fixed is enough). How this cataclysmic meeting will affect the reality on the island, I don't know yet.

I am so confused about Ben.

Jacob said Kate's name being crossed out was "just chalk on a cave wall" (or something like that) and that she could still have the job if she wanted it. I think he said it was dangerous, too. But he also said he wanted to offer the candidate what he didn't have - a choice. In that case, I don't think it matters which Kwon he meant. Sun, Jin, or both, they would have had a choice on whether they wanted the job or not. So it could be either.

And on a completely random note, I saw the name Abbadon which reminded me of a book I was reading. I don't remember if you mentioned this in your original blogs, but I think Abbadon is the name of a big-wig demon from Hell (if the author of the book I'm reading did her research well, which I think she did). So the fact that a bad guy with demon-like behavior was named Abbadon is interesting. :-p

To add to your list, Daniel might be there too as he is also a pianist so he could show up, which means that Eloise and Widmore could be there, but my big hope for the concert is that Jack's ex is there and who do I think that is? Juliet!! And how awesome would it be for AU Juliet, who seemingly has knowledge of everything (as she did tell Sawyer "it worked" in the OT) to show up and say something. I'm still wondering how this could mess with the AU.

I think Ben is playing Esaulocke, but that's my hope. I'm thinking Ben will help take out Esaulocke and redeem himself, but it will end up costing him his life.

Good point on the Kwons. Looks like it won't be either of them anyway!

Yeah, Abbadon I think means something like angel of the underworld or something demonly. I mentiond that way back in the season 4 premiere blog, I think.

Thanks!
