growing up only sucks for one reason: you have to stop being selfish.
you can't see what's right and do whatever you want, regardless. now, there are other people. there are rules. there are consquences and feelings, and they're often one and the same. you have to take everything into account and make a calculated decision. the right one, once it presents itself. you can't turn your back on it anymore.
and life would be easier if we could be selfish until the end of time. if there was nothing else to think about but yourself and your goal, then fine, what's stopping you from achieving it by any means necessary?
