Second Moderna Shot On Monday, April 5, 2021
So I got the second Moderna shot on Monday morning, and things seemed fine until around 10:00 PM or so when I went into sudden and body-wracking chills that lasted for a few hours even hunkered down into the heated waterbed.
And once they went away, a fever started and ramped up to 102f by 3:30 AM. When I woke back up at 4:30 AM to check, it had gone down to 101.8f.
And once the chills hit, my body and joints were sore all over.
Now the fever is at 100.2f.
I took the day off, and the district has instituted an up to three day special sick leave for effects of vaccinations. They've really stepped up in supporting the workers and students. We may have as many as 1,000 loaner laptops out for students and maybe 500 for staff and faculty, for instance, and they got our own supply of vaccine (right as the general supply opened wide up, unfortunately, but they tried!)
Hopefully back to work tomorrow, I'm really behind.
