Yup...what he said. Though it was pretty accurate on mine. I've been diagnosed as dysthymic twice. Doesn't mean anything though. If you really want to know more about depression, I suggest reading Elizabeth Wurtzel's Prozac Nation or going to websites like BetterHealth or Mental Health @ About.com. And of course, there are plenty of other books besides Wurtzel's out there.
If you can't find Wurtzel's Prozac Nation, I also recommend Lauren Slater's Prozac Diary, just about anything by Kay Redfield Jamison, and there's also a book called We Heard the Angels of Madness written by the mother and sister of this depressed young man.
Some that I haven't read, but that could be useful in research:
What To Do When Someone You Love Is Depressed by Mitch Golant (which I think is at the Hertford Library if I remember correctly)...
