Really? Hm. I either had no idea that Kristen Bell's Tracy or I forgot. Hee. And knowing me, it's probably the latter. Pssht. And oh my god, Cintia Dicker's gorgeous. The second I saw her, I was like 'LILY FREAKING EVANSSSSSSS.' (Ew, a car alarms going off outside. I want to shoot it.)
Gah. Time for a snack and then homework. I have like pounds of Mod Euro reading to do. Fuck.
okya. looking at my comment you may have interpretted it as either "you bitch, you stole my character picture" or "I came that. you can't have it". It was actually neither. I was just like, "COOL! We have the same ideas about characters!"
Heh, no worries. I didn't interpret it like that at all. Or I could've, but I just didn't realize and just though 'eh, whatever.' But anyway, I knew that you'd get a kick out of Kate because of your obsession with VM. I didn't watch last night's episode though, but I have it on my harddrive. Mwahaha.
This is what I made up for my 'These Words' characters (back when the story was being told by Anna). They're essentially the same in 'Somersault', only I've changed around the names, and I don't really see Stella like that anymore. And James, for me, is Daniel Radcliffe or Tom Welling. ;)
You know, for all the pictures and comparisons people make, I don't really know how to imagine Lily. amillionlights suggested your Lily earlier in the year, but I don't know ...
What about the girl who plays Donna in That 70s Show? Ignore the voice and personality, though.
Oh! Someone else has that exact picture of Kate Winslet for their Lily. Heh. And I find it hilarious that you have the Beatles as the Marauders. Heh. Especially with that bit of Lily singing 'Yellow Submarine' in like the first chapter 'These Words'. Oh, the Sienne Whatsherface for Nicquel, I think her name was? So pretty!
As for James... I don't think that I'll ever be able to find the perfect James. Because to me, James is 'perfection' personified, and it'll be supremely hard to find that. Oh, and Donna? You know, I really don't find her that pretty. And her voice really is annoying.
Anyway, these pictures aren't exactly what my characters look like, because I imagine each of them to be different in my head. But as far as I've seen, these girls that I've chosen so far are the closest to real people that my characters come.
It wasn't that awkward. And I responded to it, so check that out. Heh.
In lexisnexis, right at the beginning of that journal's posts, I did a character description update on James and Lily. I added a few other pictures of Lily (again, Kate Winslet but with blondish hair). I loved that part of chapter one! But it had to go, as it didn't fit. I might try to put it somewhere else. And while I used the Beatles, I don't necessarily agree with it. I liked that spirit of them, I suppose. I wrote mini-stories around the photos, and for the Marauders, it was most fun. :)
I hate to admit it, but I want a James. He's the sort of boyfriend that I want (given how I picture him). :/
The only one that I can truly picture is Yanie. Oh well.
I get what you're saying. It's your story, write it however you will (and I'm so glad that cliche plotlines about their friendship won't be there. *phew*). But it really was my favourite White Tulips chapter so far. :)
Why do you hate to admit it? Of course you want a James! Everyone wants a James. Because seriously, like I said, James is perfection personified, and the only difference is what we each think perfection is.
God, cliches can all go die and bury themselves in holes. Boo. I'm also stepping out of the Sirius stereotype, by not making him this crazy flirt and actually giving him a personality and introspection, instead of just being like the super hot class clown, you know?
Nice, they all look so pretty! Hmm, but I suppose it's difficult to find photos of normal-looking people online. But yes, well done and definitely help sme imagine the story now.
Oh my god, it took me forever to find Georgie. I'm actually still not completely satisfied with her, but eh, what can you do? The only girls that I found that kind of looked like my Georgie were all really old, which is a problem since Georgie's only 16, going on 17. (I am sixteen, going on 17...)
