Character name: Lucil Montoya
Played-by: Julia Stiles
Brief history: Born to a freshman in college baby Lucil was named by her birth mother then quickly given up for adoption in a hospital in Houston, Texas. Her soon to be parents, Miguel and Sonia Montoya, adopted her at the age of two after Sonia found she was unable to bear children. Growing up on the move as her Papi studied at different cullunary schools, Lucil grew into her adopted culture as she learned the language and traits rather quickly, before the trio finally settled down in Lima, Ohio when the girl was eleven. Having lived in Lima for five years, Lucil, a blonde haired white girl for all genetic intents and purposes, is used to getting odd looks from people as she calls two very obviously latin adults Mami and Papi.
Now in her sophmore year at William McKinley, Lucil has made herself a player on the school's softball team as the second baseman switch hitter. A recently outed lesbian (at school at least), she has dated her team captain Ferrari and struck up a good friendship/mutually beneficial agreement after their romance ultimately ended after five months during freshman year. While she's mostly comfortable with who she is, the young woman is still a bit shy when confronted with someone realizing her preferences. With the news of the Glee Club no longer being run by the creepy child molester that was Mr. Ryerson, Lucil is considering auditioning and allowing her voice to be heard.
Writing sample:
Today's been interesting, Mr. Schuester realized that I spoke nearly perfect spanish during his second period and now is considering either upping me into his advanced class or just letting me show up to just take tests. I really have to say that I like the tests idea. Every girl needs two prep periods. Seriously. Not to mention that Ms. Sylvester has half her Cheerios doing exercises out on the football field during second. A free show? I think so.
Then again, Lopez glaring at me with her "you're not a latina, you poser" look for nearly an hour would kill my lovely lady watching.
Curse her for being hot and evil.
I'm supposed to be using this lunch period looking for songs to possibly audition with for the Glee club but, eh, I work better on the fly. Perhaps something by Katy Perry? Some Brad Paisley? Oh, Selena! Yes. Shock the group con mi chica latina blanca awesomeness. I wonder if Rachel...what was it again? Mary? Perry?...BERRY. There we go. Rachel Berry would find that entertaining?
Mmmm, maybe I will check out those auditions with Ferrari after all.

"What the hell? I thought I had a whole nine more balls before my sesh ended! That thing must have gipped me two dollars!" The brunette kicked the chain-link fence blocking her into her cubicle. Lucil inwardly cursed as she rolled her eyes. Really, blame your terrible hitting and counting skills on the machine? Totally mature. The blonde slung her bag from her shoulder to be held under her left arm as she moved towards the cubicle door.
"Yeah, total shame. You should get out here and go talk to the admins about that because I'm pretty sure the machine isn't gonna be listenin' to your complaints." Lucil unlatched the door and held it open with a sweeping guesture. Emerald eyes glared at Lucil's still sweeping form before huffingly scooping up the blue helmet into her grasp the pushing past her form. "Whatever. It's all yours bitch."
As the girl brushed past the other people in line to use the cages, the blonde yelled at her back. "Muchas gracias señorita no cuenta!" The comment got her a few raised brows and a couple of murmurs of "Oh look who pays attention in Spanish", all of which she ignored once she stepped into her cubicle. Dropping the bag to the floor and then opening it swiftly, she pulled out her crimson helmet then Lucil smiled as she gripped the leather handle of her green metalic bat. She pressed a large red button after depositing six dollars then set herself up into her batting position. A smirk streatched across Lucil's lips as she waited for the first ball to come.
"Game on."
