so today was really just a normal day. I got up, did laundry, went to work, went to flute lessons. on the drive home I was feeling particularly happy, for no particular reason. sure there are some people I wish I knew how to fix things with, and some people I wish I could just tell how I really feel, but overall I was feeling really good. I sang along with the counting crows and decided to take a drive along the water before heading to the house. as I was going around the turn that pointed me towards may’s community I saw it- one of my shooting starts. I call them my shooting starts cause they are a different breed. everyone sees those little falling stars from time to time. but I am lucky enough to witness magnificent huge pieces of space rock burning up as they enter the atmosphere. they are giant and colorful. this was the fourth one since Halloween. it had a green tail. and it was pulsing as it burned. it lasted much longer than they usually do and traveled quite far. it finally puttered out in a little yellow ball. and I knew- everything is okay. everything is wonderful.
