July the 4th. A date that is so overshadowed by the recent tramatic experiences Old Glory has been experienced to for the past 2 years. For me, this is a day when the Red White and Blue shine the brightest and magnificently at that. Yes, I do get a big kick out of the firework displays that I've always been privy too since my birth. This wont be a main priority on my list on this day. This coming Monday, in less than 24 hours, I will try to fullfill my duty as an American and come closer in creating my personal peace for this country. The flag outside my house will be waving against the mighty winds, as the many soldiers that have died establishing that very same freedom would be/are smiling down. Because what they have fought and died so valiantly for isn't forgotten. Not in my smiling eyes and hopefully not in yours either.
