Dear Jean,
You'll receive this letter sometime, darling. I know you will. You aren't one to stay dead for long, are you? How many times is it that you've returned to life? I guess it doesn't matter, really. No matter how many times you get put down, you'll just keep on doing it anyway, returning and causing havoc in all of our lives. That's why I'm writing to you, darling. And I'm hoping that you receive this letter as soon as you return to life from another obligatory death of yours.
Now, I am quite sure you know this, but let me clarify it anyway. I hate you, darling. I hate you with a vengeance. I hate you about as much as our non-threatening little Katherine Pryde hates me, if not more than that. For a long, long while you had been a painful thorn in my side, especially when you entered the Hellfire Club as it's Black Queen and rivalled my own station as the then White Queen. Of course, at the end, it was I who turned out to be the smarter, stabler woman and you who turned out to be crazy and ineffectual.
Then there was the fact...wait, correction...there is the fact that you are Scott Summer's wife and his Great Love. The bugger cannot stop thinking about you. He even dreams of you yet, Jean, and that kills me inside. I'm with him now. I'm alive, I'm his girlfriend, yet it's not me he dreams of. It's you. I feel as though I'm some sort of poor replacement for you, and Emma Frost does not enjoy feeling like a second stringer. I may have stolen him from you in jest, Jean darling, but I love him now, and he's in my life. We're both alive, and as it stands now, we're both together. Don't ruin that, darling. Don't come back to life and try to whisk him away from me again. I let the Phoenix take over me once to keep Scott with me. Don't think I won't do it again.
Let me give you a piece of advice, Ms. Grey. When you do come back to life, don't come near the manor. Leave and go to the Shi'ar Galaxy. You'll be welcome there more than you ever will be here.
