New Obsession...
I know I really don't need to announce every new obsession I develop because you'll basically know when the fics start turning up, but I have to share this one. Last night, I accidentally (there was nothing good on tv) watched an episode of the British television series MI-5 (Spooks, I think in the UK. Heh "Spooks". Don't know why, but I think that's funny.) and it rocked! The worst thing is, I tried watching this show before and just didn't get it, and with one episode, I'm hooked! It was the one where there is a simulation of a terrorist attack in London that isn't a simulation but then is... I didn't know these characters, never seen them before, and yet I really felt for them. Now THAT is great television. I'm going to buy the DVDs this weekend...
Funny, the last show that grabbed me like this was Firefly, about a year ago. Half an episode and I was a rabid fan! Only two months until Serenity hits theatres! That movie scares me, I'm so afraid it will turn out like the Star Wars prequels...
That will be an expensive week: MI-5 DVD, Harry Potter, then Constantine... Now if I worked in a store and saw someone buy these three things, I'd really wonder about their personality. They seem incompatible, somehow. I'm a little afraid of the crossover ideas that might come out of this! (You should be too!)
