I've said since I arrived I disliked the idea of an Elevator 'choosing' to spirit away a victim.

Strangely, this place I found myself in proved extremely useful. I suppose a thank you is in order to whomever arranged for that. Perhaps gods, Edens, and Faceless Friends alike move in mysterious ways.

Do you know how long it's been, by chance? I heard it was a long time that I left before, as well. I wish I understood it better.

And I'll be fine. It was draining, exhausting, and times dreadful... but I survived. That is satisfying to me.

The last time was by choice, although prior to that it was not. I still don't understand how that works, but I've resolved to learn slowly in time. Why that happened, why I used another name, all of it.
