10 - Shrine Blessing & Red Paper

Feb 02, 2010 17:41

My Good Lord, I am glad to have finally completed the shrine. If I discover another companion with any knowledge of blessings, I shall summon that person to the shrine immediately. Your blessing is well-received. I shall doubt myself no longer - I still question much about myself and this place, but I shall always remember that the strength I bear is to do good in your name.
~Your Paladin, Seren

Good People, Recent Arrivals and Esteemed Friends,

I have completed my shrine with the help of a mason in the bazaar. I paid him as best as he would allow for his services, and I am exceedingly grateful to him. The shrine is located in the park for those who ever wish to visit it - indeed I encourage you to do so. It was not consecrated to my god; it is meant as a place of contemplation for all of those who seek Peace, Reason, and Serenity, and to all those gods dedicated to the same pursuits. Miss Rosalind, I believe? I will accompany you there whenever you wish.

To those whom I have been remiss in greeting, my name is Seren and I am a Scavenger here. I can attempt to locate lost items for you, items of necessity, or simply items of curiosity. Happily, I was also able to gather a large number of items from the Wilderness recently and you are welcome to these items as well if you have need of them.

Please do not fear my current appearance - I have a rather grotesque mask affixed to my face at present. It appeared after I activated a memory crystal, delivered by some sort of flying thing. Perhaps this is more magic of plastic.

It was then that I retrieved my map so as to mark the shrine's location, but I noticed a large red spot among the floating islands. I hope no more of our friends have shed blood recently? If that is not the case, might anyone else divine a meaning from this red mark? I am hopeful it is not a dark omen of sorts.
-Seren
