I miss NYC!
So I've been back in Syracuse for a while now, but I still miss that big thriving metropolis called New York City.
I really miss taking the subway and not having to worry about gas for my car, parking, or it getting broken into.
I miss the bagels! I had a bagel here this morning down on Warren St. and it just wasn't the same.
The people in NYC are more interesting as well. Here in Syracuse everyone has the same bored look on their face when they walk by you, cell phones glued to their ears, all talking in English, no interesting languages.
I really miss Times Square and the shopping on Broadway.
The transition of bringing our department up from Brooklyn to Syracuse has pretty much consumed my time while at work. Seriously, I walk in, put my drink down and start answering emails, settling trades, putting up instructs, before I know it, it's time for lunch. Come back from lunch, sit down, answer emails, put up more instructs, settle trades, back out trades, verify trades, advise investors, and before ya know it, it's time to head out for the night.
So just today my pseudo-boss asked me what I was gonna do on my vacation. This took me by surprise cuz I had totally forgotten about it. So I told her I didn't have anything planned yet, but one thing I will NOT be doing is working at that shithole called Relay during my evenings. That time is now reserved alllll for me! :-)
Okay, lunch break is over. Back to work!
