nice weekend
It was a good weekend. Jomar and Laura came up. It was good to see them again. Laura is awesome. She treats Jomar well.
J & L taught B & me how to play hearts. Hearts is one of those trump games that requires mental energy and logic. So I came in third. Heh heh, who needs logic? Or rather, darn the Queen of Spades! Darn her to heck! Then we played Schafkopf. Brian kept telling L & J what cards to play.
Big Fish is not a great movie.
The past two weeks, however, have sucked.
I had two finals last week. My class attendance this semester was awful, mainly because I volunteered in the morning and then didn't feel like going to class in the afternoon. God, I loved my volunteer job with the Scott County Attorney. I was so happy with the job, I didn't care about school. Really, you have no idea how much I liked that job. So when they agreed to hire me for the summer, it was perfect.
Then they dumped me, due to funding. So in the past two weeks I had two interviews with other county attorneys. And neither of them hired me. Argh. If I can't get a summer job, how am I supposed to get a permanent job? I keep stressing over this, and I have to stop.
This morning I pedalled like crazy on the exercise bike and now I feel better.
Got a call from Gayle last night... she left a message on the machine... I'm curious about her and the Sparkster... calling her back this afternoon... can't wait... weeee.
