You have me worrying about Castiel and about Sam -- I don't think he's going to run away to be a dog, but I'm willing to believe that function follows form eventually -- and about Gabriel, which is making me feel a little feverish with impatience myself. Dean isn't meant to be a traitor to anything, much less everything. I get that killing off your main characters isn't seriously an option in this story, but I want more NOW.

Which doesn't really work on everyone. Especially when you've killed their brother.
Dean just drives me crazy consistently throughout this whole story. It's a thing. :)
The function follows form idea is an interesting question, because I actually wrote this chapter not long before [Spoiler (click to open)]Bobby's ghost came back and that became a major question in canon. If I do an extra from Sam's point of view (beyond the single-scene one-shot that I've got sitting around for the Sabriel mini) that will definitely be part of it.
