This is a really interesting take on these episodes. I'm looking forward to what you have to say about the next bunch.

Ooh, interesting. And yes - Dean was lonely. He had his 'dream family', but he didn't have his *brother*. His left hand, his second thought, his sounding board. And Dean trying to be Everyman was painful to watch. And maybe it was only to show a comparison, but he opening scenes of the first episode, when we see flashbacks of Dean decapitating a vampire and etc..... I always thought those were *Dean's* thoughts, and not just plot-type reminders. He couldn't stop seeing everything around him through the lens of his life and experiences, and therefore all of it was just...a tiny bit...tainted.

And then we get Sam-who-isn't-Sam and you can just see him becoming more and more lost, and withdrawn, and hurt.

Wordy comment is wordy, but you made me think. *and want a re-watch*
I look forward to more - i'm going to go ahead and friend so i don't miss anything. :)
