Sam has all the logical solutions. Once he gets past the 'whut?' :)

And you know Dean starts cataloguing EVERYONE'S faces once he's got more than just Sam around all the time. (Because we all know he has an entire alphanumerical catalogue just of Sam's bitchfaces.)

to hang around Sam and be adoringly unhelpful at him.

Helping would get in the way of appreciating Sam. Any random person could help; Gabriel is special.

“Is it the all-powerful angel you want, Dean? or the human you think you will make of me?”

Oh, Cas. I love you so, but prompting your boyfriend to choose between two hideously wrong answers? Even someone who's much better at expressing emotions and sorting out issues than Dean Winchester might not make it through those clashing rocks. I think the answer is, "I want whatever the hell you are," but with Castiel, who knows?

I just love all the relationships, especially the cross-couple cross-species relationships. All the relationships have similarities and differences, but if you want Great Big Leaping Contrasts, Dean&Gabriel vs Sam&Castiel is the way to go. I love the glorious clashes of Dean/Gabriel, and I could watch Castiel and Sam be subtly nice to each other all day. Every step of the way.

Thank you. :) I do like exploring the cross-relationship relationships, because that's where it goes from two couples to family, and I think they do get neglected a lot. In this 'verse, of course, they do end up being all OT4, and everything bar the big bang that I've written for this verse IS that because I wrote it all while being frustrated at them all being so dense while i was writing the big bang. :P But now that's done I can explore the intermediary period, which is more interesting in a way because all the dynamics are still in flux. There's a few years in there to be accounted for, after all - no point rushing it ( ... )

I love the rambling, but I love the stories even more.

Oh, I just bet Castiel is touchy about what he is and what Dean might make of him, even -- especially -- without meaning to. Those issues are canon. And Castiel is trying to give a warning, like Tara in BtVS: he's afraid that if Dean uses that power to shape him, there'll be nothing left of him. While in some ways Dean may never be sure he's worthy of Castiel's notice.

No cat can bear to be laughed at, right? And Castiel has some of that feline offended dignity, along with the stare, the inhuman eye color, and the sudden silent presence in your face.

Yep! I took 150k words to get them together and they've STILL got relationship issues. Because sex does not solve every problem ever and people don' tmagically become perfect. And where would we find stories if they did?

Tihihi... I LOVE the blinking! Uh hi again by the way. Like I said I went stalking. ^^ I kind of shied away from the suuuper long IHI and started with the second part. So perfect! I snickered all the way through the fic. About the blinking and the names for the faces and your characterisation of all four of them. Gabriel having fun watching the awkwardness (the bastard), Sam not getting it (He's always a bit slow, isn't he? But when he's got it all worked out, he normally has a solution. Whereas Dean is just hopeless!) and Dean's epic helplessness to talk about RELATIONSHIPS (ew ^^)! And your Cas is just amazing. I think it's hard to find fics really getting canon Castiel. You nailed it! Oh and it's not fair how you write fluff just as well as angst!

Off to the next part... Mh thanks to a public holiday I have a three days weekend I should use it and read IHI. Who needs homework?

I think it was more that Sam was a bit startled and then suddenly they were on delicate territory where Samuels might fear to tread (even if angels don't). :)

Gabriel always has fun watching (and mocking) the awkwardness! Up until the point where it gets serious and suddenly OH NO FAMILY ARGUMENTS ALERT *panicmustfix*.

(At least he stops by the 'must fix' instinct now before hitting the 'run away' one.)

I'm glad you think Castiel works. :) Out of the four of them, he was the onet hat I took longest to feel like I 'got' as an author, although, when watching the show, he was the first one who really drew me in (sorry, Sam and Dean).
