An Old Fashion Love Story
Jordan and I just had our 4 month anniversary (it doesn't feel like it has been 4 months). It was definitely one of the very best days of my life.
It all started at noon when he dropped off a letter on my front porch saying to go to the place where he asked me out on our first date (the time I actually said yes), and so I went and found another letter containing a small present and a clue telling me where to go next. There were 4 stops in the scavenger hunt, including one with a park bench that had a letter taped underneath it... but the only problem was there were people sitting on it. It was very awkward having to explain to the man who was sitting on the bench that I needed to reach between his legs to retrieve a note my boyfriend had left there... but it was actually very amusing for me and the man who was sitting on the bench I'm sure.
Any ways, My last stop was at my house where I found Jordan.After Taking a few pictures (my mom insisted) I was blindfolded and led to Jordan's car where I was then taken to an undisclosed location. When we arrived at our destination, I was pleasantly surprised to find that he had taken me to Kemah. I have to give Jordan props though, because that is a very tricky location to take someone like me... he wasn't sure if I was going to hate it or love it b/c I hate going on rides and I am not a fan of the outdoors when it is freaking hot, but Jordan lucked out b/c on this day I was very happy and willing to go. We rode 2 rides, the first of which I thought would be fun and short, but when It actually started going I hated because it went so high up and make me sick to my stomach(I'm scared of heights)and seemed to never end. The second ride was the swing things that I had been on before and liked so their was no surprise there.
After walking around Kemah going in and out of shops we decided to go into the aquarium and pet the sting rays. I am not a fan of sea animals other than your usual fish who is in a fish tank, and I am definitely not a fan of touching them! But I promised Jordan I would touch one, so I quickly put my hand out and touched one of the sting rays for maybe a second. It was really nasty and slimy, but honestly I am glad I did it.
We then just sat by the water and watched random fish jump out of the water, and just enjoyed ourselves. I actually really really enjoyed myself, and couldn't have imagined a better way to spend the hot summer day.
After our day at Kemah I was put in the car and blind folded again and of course not told where we were off to next.
Our next stop was the Rain Forest Cafe. I was sooooo excited to go in b/c I have always wanted to go there and we had actually talked about it before, I just never thought he would drive all the way out to Galveston just to make me happy! It is soooooooooooo cool in that restaurant. I'm serious, I would highly recommend going there. Any way, after an absolutely splendid meal I treated Jordan to a ride on the under ground water ride they have at the restaurant. It was really cool, I can not imagine how much time and effort they put into that place to make it the way it is!
After dinner I thought all of the surprises were over, but the best was yet to come. Jordan pulled over to the sea wall and instructed me to get a blanket from out of the trunk. We then walked along the beach and laid the blanket down close to the water. After laying on the blanket for a few minutes he told me he had something for me... he handed me a box and when I opened it there was the most perfect ring I have even seen. It is silver with a rose , and the funny thing was I have always wanted that ring. He had no idea though that I loved the ring so much even before he gave it to me. After a few tears we laid on the blanket and just looked at the stars. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
I really truly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to have a day like that at least once in your life. It is an amazing feeling knowing that someone else loves you soooo much that they would spend weeks trying to prepare a day/night like that for you. And it also makes me sad knowing that some people may never know the kind of love that I have gotten these past 4 months.
Thank you Jordan for making my life so much better and making me a happier person! I honestly couldn't have even imagined having someone as wonderful as you in my life! I love you soo much!
