i agree and disagree.

fulfillment is where you find it. i wouldn't have the exposure to knowledge that i have if i wasn't at usc. there's a great wealth of intellect here and a great number of people excited to share it. it's worth every penny for me to question my views on standard marriages and their caveats, understand that moral utilitarianism is great in theory but difficult in practice (a moral compass, perhaps?), and that films don't have to be explosive to be transportive.

i don't know. "experiencing" the world is such a subjective way of thinking about it that the idea doesn't really mean anything. quality of life should always be personal. when we have to demean others' lives it just means we're not satisfied in simply living our own.

Agreed.

The American people aren't oppressed. It's just a little more difficult than we imagined.

Governments and systems are great things. Control is an amazing thing. Power is great. IF you are the one behind the scenes.

Not everyone has what it takes.

College or not, some people don't know how to tame the world they live in.

I'm shitdeep in debt with student loans, but nothing will stop me from my life.

Don't attack vague groups of people or ideas.

I like consumerism. I like free enterprise. I like capitalism. Call me shallow and materialistic, but I feel that systems make the world spin. Systems allow people who want something enough to obtain it, while making it off limits to those that can't reach it. America truly is the land of opportunity, if you are brave enough to take that opportunity. It's only cold blooded if you can't put up a fight.

it depends on what you consider oppressed. i feel the oppression i witness is how little the american people think for themselves. every thought and opinion is based on what someone told them, via media, tv, advertisement, whats new, whats hot, whos cool, all based on promotions and whats put out there for people to consume. choices? i think not. these things dont become a liking of character, they become the character themselves...not just consuming, being consumed. and without even realizing it ( ... )
