So last weekend I went up to Radford. One of my girls was kind enough to put me in her room. Well, it was a dorm room so of course I got sick. Flash forward (not fast) to Tuesday. Still had the same sore (SORE!) throat and according to all the OTC medicine I was taking, that's a bad sign (to have it longer than 2 days was not a check in the good column). Since I was going to be staying with a friend for a job interview in DC and said friend is w/o health insurance, I decided, kinda last minute, to go to the DR's office. Actually, I felt more like crap that morning. I literally could not get myself going and it was noon. (Not that that's unusual-anyone who knows me knows I could sleep for a while.) Well, lo and behold the tech comes back from the terrifying stabbing pain of the throat and nose yes nose! swipe and says, "well, you don't have strep. You have the flu." But I'm still hacking up a lung and haven't (thankfully) tossed my cookies. And I'm still contagious until about MOnday. Good times.
