Melted Snowmen
which until this year were known in our family as "Teacher Treats".
This is a very simple recipe we like to make at the end of the semester and give to teachers (who work very hard with little rewards). I'm making some right now and wanted to share. This is the best I could do over the internet.
1 lb. Almond Bark
1 c. stick pretzels (broken in half)
1 c. peanuts
1 c. Heath "Bits o' Brickle" toffee bits
food coloring (we use green and red)
Mint and/or Peppermint Extract
Melt the almond bark, and add the color and extract of your choice. We usually do pastel green/Mint, pink/Peppermint and white/no extract. Mix it together and slowly add the other ingredients. Scoop out spoonfuls onto wax/parchment paper and let harden.
And that's it. Ridiculously simple, ridiculously good.
