Wow, it's been a while.
I took a look at my last journal entry and that needs to be updated. For those that don't know, Merlene has passed away. Her cancer came back and very quickly at that. It migrated into her mouth to where she couldn't swallow food. She was constantly getting nose bleeds and losing weight. So, I couldn't watch her suffer anymore and took her to the vet to be put down. That was around September of 2009 not long after I got pregnant with Sean. I had hoped she would be able to stick around long enough for Sean to know her. But it wasn't meant to be. She was an old kitty, and she led a good life, although those last couple of years were rough.
So now Sean is about 2.5 years old. He's growing so much. He's forming sentences and can hold short conversations. He's going to be tall and skinny. Getting him to eat has always been tricky. And Miss Emily will be 1 year old in September. How time flies.
Not much else has been going on. Just work, trying to get through school (still), and being a mom.
