(no subject)
So, get this. The texan death row convict - we (the public), we don't know how he escaped from prison. But he got some security guys badge; (we love smart prisoners) CNN announced to the world that he was dangerous and 'there was no limit what he might do.' it was so hollywood - I loved it. I was scared, maybe he'd be after me! I was split; rooting for the convict (most obviously, c'mon!) and then rooting for the good cops.
They put the family in hiding, afraid he might go after them. Kill! Kill! Blood! Blood! I was waiting for Miramax to roll around and copywright his tale - starring someone as grizzly as Kevin Bacon as the death row inmate.
But, no. There was no killing or blood. They got the guy, three days later. I mean, okay, we normally do find them. BUT THIS IS WHAT KILLS ME. They found him in a drunken stupor, trying to buy more alcohol. My Hollywood killer wouldn't be drinking! He'd be proving his innocence, or be hiding in a cave in Mexico - surviving on cactus juice. Or something just that amazingly awesome.
Just goes to show, Texas is just a big let down with assholes, in the prisons, and even running the country. (sorry, that was a big jump. its my fucking livejournal - i can make big leaps like that!)
