Quick check in.
[Good Gods you people write a lot. I disappear for three lousy days to do school shit/be sick, and I'm backlogged on my friends page for at least three pages. And I'm not even really back. By the end of tomorrow, who knows how much there will be. Might take me a while to get through them. So expect some after-the-fact comments, cause just in skimming, I know there are things I wanna comment on.]
Well, I may have pulled it off. My history professor now officially has my eight page research paper in hand. All things considered, I think it turned out fairly well. Especially when you take into account the fact that I decided to change my topic very [as in yesterday morning] last minute.
I was having serious issues writing it, because I really couldn't get into my topic. [That and my self-indulgent, procrastinistic (shut up; in my head it's a real word) nature. But that deserves an entire entry all to itself. Yay for self exploration.] So after they sent me home from work [approximately two minutes after I arrived at work.. I'm sure the sexy hacking cough and seemingly never-ending stream of snot flowing freely from my nose had something to do with that] I decided to start over. Entirely. My topic changed from Labor in the early 1900s to Japanese internment during World War II. I went and checked out some new books, then spent three hours taking notes from them. I spent about eight hours writing it, and probably another hour or so today doing editing. So all in all, the whole thing was done, start to finish, in about twelve hours. Not bad. I might even pull an A on it.. certainly at least a B.

So. Major load off my back. I'm nearly done. I just got home from the history final, and I'm thinkin B territory, which I can deal with. Now I just gotta do the extra credit for history [which I used my mad, silver tongued skillz to talk my professor into taking tomorrow even though the last class was today], study for the biology exam, and take the biology exam. In just over 24 hours, I'm free of school and its evil learningness until August.
That said, I'm off to study. I imagine I'll resurface, and likely in force, on LJ around Sundayish.
