(no subject)
So. My computer's decided to give up the ghost.
I was talking to friends, reading a fic and listening to the radio yesterday, when the computer basically powered itself down and then refused to turn on again for any reason.
Bayly had me turn it all off, at the wall, and unplug it all, to make sure there wasn't even a chance of any residual energy in the tower, and left it for a while. The lst time I had a similar problem, we tried this, and it worked, so we were trying it again to see if it would work this time.
It didn't. The thing is still refusing to turn on. At one point, the on switch glowed blue for second, as I treid to turn it on, but that was it. After that, nothing at all.
So, I've given the tower to Mom, who will give it to Dad, who will give it to a work-mate of his to see what's going on with it and see if he can fix it. We guess that it's the power supply, but meh.
I'm currently borrowing and using Mom's computer - it's slow and annoying, but it's good enough for now :s
I'm annoyed, mostly, because I was in the middle of working on a number of pieces of art-work. I also now cannot get at my CVs, so I can't send or print them out. I can't get to my writing, either. And most importantly? I CAN'T GET TO MY SUPERNATURAL EPISODES.
MEH.
Hopefully, thing's will get sorted soon.
