THE SOCIOPATH GETS A CLUE
Elle had spent a good two weeks in solitary before she came out.
She was royally pissed at Gabriel for denying her access to the thing she wanted. Sex with him would have been wonderful. It had felt good while it lasted. Now she wouldn’t even look at him if he begged. Not that he would.
She didn’t see him around. Or Eden for that matter. The woman’s cell was empty. Adam wasn’t around either. None of her group was around so she had to rely on Candice. The girl with schizophrenic delusions and tendencies. Elle knew she was good for some things. Information was not one of them.
“Candice.” The girl twitched. Heavy in stature with dark rings around her eyes. She had once been known as Beth, but the woman wanted to be someone else. Someone different. Candice flinched trying hard to keep to herself. “Where are Eden, Adam, and Gabriel?” It sounded like a list of bible names now that she said it aloud.
“Nowhere,” Candice shuttered looking around. “Everywhere.” Elle rolled her eyes. So she was going to have to deal with this right now. Not as though she expected any less.
“Candice.” She looked up again as Elle spoke. Tucking her long white shelves in her mouth. Candice had a fetish for putting not editable objects in her mouth. She looked up at Elle with big brown eyes. “Tell me where they are.” Candice shivered shutting backwards a bit.
“Gone. All of them.” She whispered rocking back and forth.
“Gone?” Elle asked almost confused. “What do you mean gone?”
“Eden wanted to smite the monster, but she got all bloody and called up home.” Dead. Eden was dead. “The monster fought back. Adam wanted to kill the monster. He hated the fruit he gave him so he attacked. All the demons and devils of the world came to stop him, but the bearer kept at the monster until he killed one of the devils. The one with the flaming red hair.” Dr. Pratt.
Adam had killed Dr. Pratt. Elle knew Adam wasn’t coming back from that. Served him right for trying to take out Gabriel. Though why Candice called him a monster was beyond her. Gabriel had been nothing, but a sweetie pie to her. Until he denied her access to any parts of his body.
“Where are they now Candice?” Elle asked wanting so badly to drag the girl’s attention to her. Candice was looking around the room probably thinking how dreary it was.
“I think I’ll go to Paris.” Okay so Candice was gone. Elle sighed taking herself away from the seat hearing Candice start to speak either in a French accent or bad French.
The boys were on the other side of the room probably deciding on a new leader. Few peered at Elle probably thinking she was free meat with Adam who claimed her and Eden who owned her gone. Elle hoped to hell they’d let Gabriel back. Finally she decided to go over to one of the rare female inmates in the joint. Tina had a fear of just about everything so when Elle approached she held up her hands and cornered herself.
“I’ll be out of your hair in two shakes Tina.” She held up her hands and did a little spin. Elle wanted to show Tina she wasn’t armed. Tina nodded saying something real fast for her to make it quick. “Adam and Gabriel? What happened to them?”
“Adam got transferred. They want to charge him with Dr. Pratt’s death. Lawyers duke it out.” She smiled scratching her wrists hard enough so skin flakes shuttered off. Red and puffy. Skin disorder Elle couldn’t remember the name of. “Eden tried to kill Gabriel so he can come back under tighter measures. All self defense, but two months in solitary.” Two months! Elle ticked her tongue annoyed. She wouldn’t have a friend for another month or so.
“Well,” She put her hands on her hips. Tina flinched. Elle didn’t care at this point. “What the hell do you think Gabriel’s deal is? He’s pretty chill with me. Is he in here because he is too shy?” Tina let out a loud uproarious chuckle. Even the boys seemed to notice the way she laughed. Candice was even interrupted in her own fantasy world.
“No, no, Miss Bishop.” Tina seemed to call her that a lot. She could have sworn Tina had once been a maid at one of the hotel’s Daddy made her stay at. “Gabriel likes to leave himself. He’s got two things for the price of one.” She shivered with a wide enough smile to land a small jet on. “Two people one body.” So Gabriel had another side to him? That could be fun to explore. “He killed Eden and when they dragged him away he kept shouting.” Tina cleared her throat. “MY NAME IS SYLAR!!! MY NAME IS SYLAR!!!” Everyone in the room jumped. Tina was a good mimic.
Elle nodded her thanks to Tina before swaying her hips over to a free table. She decided to sit next to Candice until Gabriel got out. In those months she decided that Sylar may be dangerous, but so is she.
She’s going to release that other part of Gabriel whether he likes it or not.

THE PSYCHO HAS SOME COMPANY
He should have expected something out of Elle.
Revenge was something that had crossed Gabriel Gray’s mind once he got out of solitary, but he didn’t expect not seeing her. Not at lunch or the whole time during. He only saw people look at him funny. No doubt after what he had done.
Killed again. Again not him.
Sylar.
The name was chilly to Gabriel. Almost offensive. He had gotten back into his body after the two months were up. Lunch today was ham and cheese. He picked at it keeping to himself. People left him alone and he saw some orderlies follow him to his room, but he just ducked inside. He wanted alone time to think this over. Elle’s absence was annoying him. If she was avoiding him again because of what he had denied her and what he had done to her precious Eden, she should have had the decency to tell him.
He turned to look in the larger area of space then his body had been used to in the past couple of months and suddenly felt like he was stuck in some kind of fairy tale. Or bad love story.
Someone was sleeping in his bed.
The pile of clothes were fallen next to the floor. White drab pieces of fabric and cloth. The flare of blonde hair peeked out from the sheets. Maybe she wasn’t so mad at him. She was, after all, naked in his bed. He swallowed hard trying to wipe away everything. Maybe they could start over, but he was too much of a courage to tell her that he was very much infatuated with her.
She twisted her body around sighing in the cloth of the white sheets. The soft bed moved only slightly with her. Her face was as beautiful as he remembered. He had already reassured this girl he didn’t want her. Maybe he was scared she would hurt him. He knew she would. In here it was all a person could do. He didn’t want that. Gabriel wanted everything. He wanted everything too much and now that he could have her, love her he was terrified.
Sylar called him weak and scared. Sylar was born to help him get everything he wanted. Kill those who had it all. He was a sinner and he knew it. Elle was sin in human form. Lust and greed was all she was. She was sin and it was a sin to want sin. He did want it though. He did want her.
Wasn’t that the reason for hurting Adam? Killing Eden? Truly he wanted to free her. Gabriel wanted to free her, but had no courage to do so. Sylar had the means to. Sylar was the one who was the action. Gabriel was the brains. Gabriel thought over everything. Sylar acted on whatever he felt.
Her eyes opened fluttering open to see him staring at her. Watching her. He shifted as did she. She sat up in bed letting the sheets bunch up around her waist. She wasn’t completely naked. Somehow it made him relieved. She was wearing a plain white bra allowing those white orbs of flesh to peek up. He swallowed and he saw that little smile. The smile of Satan. The smile of sin.
Elle was the eighth deadly sin.
“Hello Gabriel.” She fluttered her eyes and he could tell she hadn’t changed. Same Elle who stuck her hand in his pants and tried to woo him. He felt his hands become hot and sweaty. He took a breath and heard her laugh. “Might want to take a seat on the bed.” Her legs stuck out. Bare and beautiful. Silk blue veins curling under the skin. The white cotton underwear was completely visible now. “I can take care of that for you.” Her chin pointed to his bulge in his pants. He already was aware of it. She still smiled. So coyly and pleasantly.
“I don’t need you to take care of anything for me.” He looked away from her trying so hard to swallow. He could see her swallow and dip her head. She swept off the sheets to wrap them around her body. Suddenly she looked ashamed.
“I know about you.” Her voice rang out as his head snapped to look at her. Her eyes peeked from under her lashes. He swallowed. She was covered now. “Why you are here.” He looked to see her folding her hands on her lap.
He decided it was safe to sit beside her on the bed. They sat there for awhile. Just staring at their hands. At the floor. He wondered if she would continue. If he had to ask what she meant. About his other self or the death of her friend. She must have known that.
“I know you got another part to you.” She said it rather calm. Maybe she didn’t know what his other self was like. “Seems like I’d like to meet him.” She had that coy little smile on as she watched her fingers curl the sheet downward.
“You wouldn’t.” He mentioned making his eyes stern. He swallowed seeing the white of her skin made her almost shine. She wasn’t what he thought in personality, but in appearance and in history she was what he had always wanted. “He’s the one who killed Eden. Your friend.”
“She wasn’t anything to me.” Elle scoffed rolling her eyes. “And neither was Adam. Just a means to my needs. They didn’t understand me. They used me.” He swallowed seeing her explain it. “I’ve killed people too Gabriel.” She curled closer almost into her lap. “Forty. Is that more then you or him?” He shrugged. He really didn’t know.
“Killing face to face is far different then starting a fire.” She frowned. Perhaps disappointed in herself for not being so grand. “You didn’t pick victims. Sylar picked all his victims.” She watched him carefully. “You just let it go and don’t care who gets hurt. Choosing is better. Some people are innocent.” He swallowed feeling the sin overwhelm his body. Her thigh was so warm next to his.
“No one is innocent.” She grinned letting her chin rest on his shoulder. “Everyone does something bad. Everyone sins. Everyone has improper thoughts. Those who act on them are braver then those who deny them.” The blankets fell bunching up at her waist. “Are you a sinner Gabriel?” The voice was so wrong and seductive. Her breath was so hot and close. He wanted to inhale her. Take her for all the sin she had. One more sin. Just one more. He was already in hell. Why not give in?
“Elle, please,” He whispered feeling himself nearly cry from the thought of brushing her aside. “I don’t want this. I don’t want you.” He saw her mouth curve downward.
“But I know you do.” She tried to get him. Persuade him. “You look at me like I’m beautiful and saintly. And like I am a sin in flesh and real form.” She pressed a kiss to his neck. “Nobody has ever really looked at me like that. Not Daddy or Adam or Eden. No one.” He couldn’t believe that. That nobody looked at her like she was a goddess. To him she was all that good and bad in the world. Bad in reality. Good and saintly in his mind.
“You are beautiful.” He admitted soundly. She smiled at that point.
“So then why,” She rubbed her nose along his chin. The warm flesh was chilling. “Don’t you want me?” He had said it out loud in so many words, but he really didn’t mean it.
“I’m afraid.” He told her in a soft tone. She tilted her head. “People like you,” He swallowed long and hard. “Use people. Just for a purpose and then you toss them aside. I don’t want to be used. I want to be . . .” He didn’t finish he was afraid to.
“Loved.” He almost fell backwards. How would she know? How did she know him? “That’s all you ever wanted right? To be loved. To be accepted as you were. To be special just the way you are.” She clutched her hand around his. The warmth was so shallow and welcoming. “It’s what I want too.” She ran her fingers across the fabric of his thigh. “I think you are so sweet Gabriel. I don’t know how to act around people like you. Nice people. Nobody has ever been nice to me. Wanted me. And anyone who did I chased away, but you . . . did me a favor. You killed Eden and sent Adam away. You set me free and I know you know people like me, but I want to change.” She admitted. “I want to be loved for once.” He couldn’t admit to her that he had been in love with her for some time. He just couldn’t. “I’ll take things slow if that means you will be my friend.”
“Alright.” He let out. Adam’s apple bobbing. She nodded looking down to gather her clothes. He could have swollen she had bent down just enough to give him a good look of that ass of hers. She was dressed in seconds. She smiled nibbling on her lip. She might not change he realized, but hell if he cared.
“Can I,” She leaned keeping her hand on his thighs breathing on his face. “Kiss you?” He watched her lips and he must have nodded.
Her kiss was slow at first. Her lips were ungodly soft. Perfect, but strange. All those times he had looked at her picture he had never imagined he would actually kiss her. Her tongue slipped between his lips. He kissed her back, but she pulled away. Teasing.
“Bye Gabriel.” She fluttered her eyes and tilted her head. Almost giggling as she went out.
That’s when Gabriel knew.
Few people every changed and Elle Bishop was not to be one of those few.
