Yesterday, the contestants' free-loading ride came to an abrupt end! I got tired of seeing Melissa alone, all the time, so I departed from the rules and started to control the guys. We're all benefiting from a little more direction, in the household.
There are only three contestants left in the challenge: Dilip (Romance), Mayhew (Family), and Daisuke (Exhibitionist). Dilip improves his chances of winning by getting up early to play a video game with Melissa.

He doesn't ingratiate himself by letting her win, though.

When they finish playing, Dilip suggests they slip out of their hot clothes and take a refreshing dip in the pool.
There's something romantic about swimming together as the sun is rising. Melissa finds it hard to resist her companion.
After their swim, they towel off and auto-select gelatin for breakfast.
(Could they be slimming down because they plan to see each other naked, soon?)
While Dilip and Melissa enjoy breakfast alone, Daisuke auto-mops up after the broken shower. His efforts are futile: as soon as one puddle goes, another one appears.

Mayhew joins him. Far from being discouraged by their lack of progress, he has a vision that inspires him to keep auto-cleaning.
“This is gonna be the cleanest washroom ever!” he enthuses to Daisuke.
Dai's been mopping for longer than Mayhew has, so he's understandably skeptical.
Meanwhile, Dilip and Melissa get on with the morning flirtation. It goes so well, Melissa wants to risk getting engaged!
And Dilip has fallen in love with her!
Meanwhile, back in the washroom, Mayhew gains a cleaning point.
After serenading him, Melissa falls in love with Dilip, too.
The flirting with Mayhew goes well, too.
Mayhew falls in love with her - again with the creepy eyes! - and Melissa falls in love with him.
Meanwhile, back in the washroom, Daisuke gains a cleaning point.
He drops the mop long enough to flirt with Melissa and fall in love with her. Melissa sneaks in a dirty joke, but it's not enough to make her return his feelings.
(In this shot, she seems to be saying, “Who's the cutie with all the cleaning points, huh? I think it's you!”)
After the morning dates, Melissa sits down to lunch with Dilip and Daisuke. She is such a consummate Romance Sim, Mel can talk about their newfound feelings with both her admirers at the same time without provoking any jealousy.
Mayhew is sitting apart from the others. He's not hungry, right now, so he's playing chess by himself.
When I check on him, I warm to him instantly: he wants to propose to Melissa!
(As I was cropping the picture, I noticed that Mayhew also wants to become better friends with Daisuke and Dilip. No irrational jealousy, here!)
It's noon, and you know what that means. Keep your fingers crossed for your favourite contestant!
Mayhew: 100 + 071 = 171
Dilip: 100 + 071 = 171
Daisuke: 100 + 070 = 171
Daisuke is one point behind Mayhew and Dilip, so he has to put on his clothes and leave. To thank Daisuke for being such a great contestant, I give him a “normal” figure and a Maxis outfit, and I find him an entry-level job in his LTW career, the military. Then I unleash my favourite nudist on an unsuspecting Downtown.
Meanwhile, Vincent is up to his old tricks. He's still venting his frustration over being eliminated from the challenge. Lark passes by right after Vincent kicks over the trashcan for the umpteenth time. He stands there for a long time, just looking at it. I guess Lark has lived so long with neat-freak Fury, he doesn't recognize rubbish when he sees it.

Dilip and Mayhew also have a hard time recognizing the mess. It's up to Melissa to pick up the trash.
As she's gathering up the rubbish, Melissa can't help but think, “If I had a husband like Mayhew, I wouldn't have to do the dirty work, anymore.”
That wasn't so bad, Melissa. What's the problem?
Oh.
Even though Melissa is standing right there, Vincent kicks over the bin, again. Now that she's caught him in the act, Melissa tells him to get lost. In addition to being a poor loser, Vince is also a coward: he runs off shame-faced.
Once that's taken care of, it's time for the last group date. Dilip talks about being on TV and the prize money that one of them will win.

In contrast, Mayhew insists that he's not on the show for the money. I'm liking this guy more and more.

While they're in the hot tub, guess who leaves a message on the machine. Nice try, acting all nonchalent. I wouldn't wait by the 'phone, buddy.
After he towels off, Mayhew cleans up the latest mess at the kerb. As he gathers up the rubbish, he can't help but think, “If Melissa were my wife, I could clean up the trash for her every day!”
Meanwhile, Emma Love, stalker-in-training, continues to practise stalking - because she's not very good at it, yet.
In the evening, Melissa has a make-out session with each of the contestants.
To give them some privacy, I check in on their wants panel.
Well, this is interesting. Dilip wants to woohoo then meet someone new. He also wants a makeover station. So, he expects Melissa to change her style to suit him, even though he's only interested in a brief affair. In fact, the thought of commitment scares the bejiggers out of him.
My man Mayhew doesn't let me down: he likes Melissa just the way she is and he still wants to marry her.
And what does Melissa want? Melissa wants spaghetti.

Please tune in for the thrilling conclusion on Day 07!
