Neighbour-lady would be a little freaked out at first because she's probably never known a Real Live Homosexual Couple before, to her knowledge. But Eames would keep talking to her in the hall, and have tea with her, and she would realize there's nothing scary about gay people after all, and she would make them banana bread and tell all her friends about the sweet gay couple who live across the hall.
