Robins form monogamous pair bonds that last through the breeding season, and the males are very protective of their turf.
I just got an email with that exact subject line. It was spam, of course, but it was such an inspired piece of work that I had to share it.

I'm back to being a little AWOL right now, life's taken one of *those* turns again and in an attempt to not actively kill someone* I'm keeping my head down and keeping busy with *stuff*. Getting my hall decorated, and when I say I'm getting it decorated, I'm doing it myself - I like decorating and so long as wallpaper isn't involved I'm actually pretty good at it and hopefully it'll be finished today. 'Course it kinda has to be 'cause I'm going back to work tomorrow. Joy.

'kay, this post is just to say I'm still alive and to say thank y'all for the congratulations on NaNoWriMo - I don't remember the last time I had so much fun writing something and it's still not done. So I'm away now, no doubt when I get into work tomorrow and find that for two weeks no one has checked the shared email account I will be posting a rant again...

*someone specific, not just a random stranger who looks at me the wrong way or something. Oh no. This specific person is not on eljay, this specific person would be lucky to tell her arse from her elbow and has been frequently mentioned on here.

real life sucks, lj, family
