1 - Elaborate on your default icon
Um it matches the banner? Actually I’ve noticed a bit of a change in my iconing lately - where I used to crop in really close to the face(s) at a slightly off-centre angle, now I’m incorporating a lot of vistas into my icons. I liked this shot anyway because it’s the epitome of all I love about Doctor Who - it’s comfortably familiar until you look close and then it knocks you for six. :)
2 - What’s your current relationship status?
Single, and actually pretty darn happy to be single right now.
3 - Ever have a near-death experience?
Not personally. Been near people as they died though.
4 - Name an obvious quality you have.
Um… right now the most obvious quality is that my hair isn’t naturally this colour. (translation: my roots are showing…)
5 - What’s the name of the song that’s stuck in your head right now?
Athlete - Half Light.
6 - Name a celebrity you would marry
I don’t know any of them well enough to consider marrying any of the celebs I’ve met.
7 - Who will cut and paste this first?

8 - Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
Actually yes, but I don’t see either of these comparisons at all. Years ago a guy tried to hit on me by saying “You know, you look just like Vanessa Paradis…” (this was at the point when she was doing the caged bird ads for Chanel). And more recently I’ve been told I look like Stella McCartney (or I did when my hair was longer and red).
9 - Do you wear a watch? What kind?
Actually no. About a month ago I took my watch off and I’ve not missed it since. :)
10 - Do you have anything pierced?
Ears three times each (although one set’s closed over now so it’s really only twice)
11 - Do you have any tattoos?
Yup. Right shoulderblade, black ink of Lindsey’s chest tattoo from Angel s5. Got it after the White Room convention in 2004 when I got to pose with Chris Kane with his tattoo make up. *g* I’m planning on another, not sure what I want yet though.
12 - Do you like pain?
Pain is a useful tool, it tells your body to stop doing whatever it is you’re doing because it’s not good. So in that respect, yes, I like pain. Do I enjoy it? No.
13 - Do you like to shop?
Not really, unless I have one of those magic days when clothes that are two sizes smaller than I normally wear fit and look good and are less than 25% of the marked price.
14 - What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
It’s the end of the month. I’m seriously overdrawn. I don’t remember the last time I had cash never mind what the last thing I bought with it was.
15 - What was the last thing you paid for with your credit card?
Petrol.
16 - Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
At home: my neighbour. She’s worried about Dram because he’s not been letting her husband take him for walks this week. (They come across and take him out during the day while I’m at work but he’s not been going out this week.)
At work: a guy from Palgrave Macmillan who's trying to sort out the technical problems at their site.
17 - What is on your desktop background?
At work, nothing because someone’s disabled the setting that saves the desktop after you log out. Some days I have something, most days I’m too busy. At home I have a gorgeous wallpaper from Tooth & Claw from here (the Gone Travelling one) and on the laptop I have the Willow/Xander one from The Wish.
18 - What is the background on your cell phone?
I have a mobile but I don’t like all the gimmicks and gadgets for it. It’s there so I can contact people when I need to, like say if the car breaks down out in the wilds of nowhere (which is possible given that I drive through the wilds of nowhere on a daily basis…) So the background is whatever the factory setting background is. That said, I miss my Imperial March ringtone I had on the phone that died five years ago…
19 - Do you like redheads?
I kinda am one a lot of the time so… why not?
20 - Do you know any twins?
They ran in my family up until two generations ago so the answer is yes. I do. I’m related to some. Plus I went to school with at least two sets of twins.
21 - Do you have any weird relatives?
Ha! Yes. A thousand times, yes.
22 - What was the last movie you watched?
Practical Magic. It was on the other night on ITV2 and I was watching it with the annoying station ident and the ad breaks when I remembered I had the DVD… I am looking forward to watching all the ‘great films you know, and all the great films you don’t know’ on the now freely available Film Four though. :)
23 - What was the last book you read?
I am currently reading two books - The Divided Self by R.D. Laing (a study of schizophrenia from the 1960s Glasgow psychiatrist) and X Wing: The Bacta War by Michael Stackpole. :)
