A rant (That I can't put on my public LJ because of Drama...)
In May, I lent two items to a friend, for their friend to use in a Fashion Show. Accessories, but they were pretty important/necessary for the overall look, and there were no other good substitutes. I have yet to see these items returned. GETTING A LITTLE IRRITATED, because... wtf. MAY. ANd I kind of want them returned so I can use them -_-
Also, free tickets for a concert next Tuesday. Kind of smirking because same person who borrowed stuff, didn't get the 'free' offer. And they're also asking me to pay for gas money to an event they're going to at the end of the month, and taking a cut of my share for their husband because he'll "be helping" by sitting there and doing nothing. AND they don't want to drive to my house to pick me up. Kind of debating being a jerk about it. If I'm paying for gas, the least they could do is come to my door and drop me off.... -_- Especially since 1/3 of the $$ becomes 1/2 of the $$ PLUS Gas.
Sometimes I hate everyone. Especially 'friends'. Money always complicates things. Especially when you're coming across as greedy and taking the money of two other people. We'd be happy to pay for gas if it didn't feel like a scam to take MORE of our cut of the honourarium. You already get 50% because you decided your husband deserves 1/4 of it just for tagging along. -_-
Okay, Positives, because I like to stay positive: Free e-reader in time for my trip. Step Mother bought a new one, and is giving me her old one (she's selling some of my stuff in storage at their house up north, so I guess it's fair...-_-' but whatever. It'll be more useful. Also, sent her my amazon wishlist and requested new sheets for my new bed, and money for my trip. After 9 months of coolness on my part, we'll see if she's still trying to be nice to me after telling me there was no room for me in her house. Free e-reader and money for trip to buy pretty clothes in Japan!
