Seasonal Affective Disorder

Here it is
the chimera of florida fall
coaxing desires for the quiet
long contemplation of snowy winter
when even the earth rests
after the serotonin overload of expectant spring
and the fireworks of ebullient summer
but alas the sleep will never come
it's just a cheap come on

my mid-day naps
and evenings home alone
will be suspect
of nostalgia
