On Friday, I sold my Xbox 360, the one with the 20 GB hard drive, and a ton of games. Dude I sold it to got a pretty good deal! On Monday, I bought a PS3. Let's discuss in +/- form.
+ The PS3 is SO PRETTY. Glossy white!
- It's not the 80 GB model, it's 40
+ Free online play!*
- I got a Sixaxis controller, which is light and puny and not as satisfying to hold as a 360 controller
+ The controllers charge by USB; no AA batteries required!
- Extremely inelegant Operating System
+ Easy to upgrade internal harddrive/good use of external hard drives and USB drives
- Heavy!
+ No ridiculously oversized external power supply
- I'll need a voltage converter when I get to Canada
+ REGION FREE
- Not for DVDs
+ I have Region 3 DVDs I can play on it and a Region 1 player at home anyways
- The games I have so far don't support Trophies
+ It's QUIET.
- It's less ubiquitous than the 360
+ Probably won't explode in a month
- No Gears 2/Left 4 Dead/Fable II
+
Little BigPlanet! Did I make the right decision? Only time... will tell.
* I don't really like playing games online competitively, because I end up getting my ass handed to me in 2.3 seconds by an unemployed tweenie-something. I am, however, a Feature Slut, so I sometimes buy games because they tout online modes, and sometimes games offer online co-op, which I can handle.
