I just signed up for a 13 month membership at the Princeton Club, local fancy gym! Hopefully I will go! My health insurance has this thing where if you go 60 times in 6 months, you get a $100 rebate, so maybe that will inspire me ( Read more... )

Good job chicken! I too watch CMT at the gym. I've never seen anyone else watching it though. I also feel like a gerbil on a wheel on the machines, I hate that feeling, but what else can you do with a foot of snow on the ground?

Gym! I think my health insurance has the same deal, though the local gyms would only be convenient for me if I had a car ( ... )

Sweet! country radio show! is it still good, even without you?
Yeah...I have developed a 'if you can't beat em, join em' attitude to pop country music. I guess you could say I listen to it in a hipster ironical way, but that would not be completely true. But I fully acknowledge that it sucks.

That is too bad that he was no good. I wonder how he got into country in the first place? I'm going to have to get some Charlie Pride-- when did he sing?

The Wrangler Jeans commercial was SO country! it was some guys having a nice weekend in the country, fishing and splitting wood and hanging out in their cowboy denim, and 3 were white and 1 was black!

Charlie Pride was mainly 60's and 70's. Mostly good!

Yeah, the Grain Elevator is still a good show, though my successor takes some liberties with my show that I would rather him not. My thing was playing pre-1950's music, pre-1950's early rock 'n' roll, and good modern alt-country. Ron, the new host often plays trucker music (like C.W. McCall) and he will repeat a lot of stuff. I didn't like repeating as often as he does. I also didn't play as much polka (well, it is a Minnesota show). Give it a listen, you'll probably like it.

I'd love to have a radio show again. Though if I did another show, I think I'd like a quirky kids show, like Greasy Kids Stuff that used to be on WFMU.
