I'm having a bitch and a half of a time trying to find the latest episode of America's Most Smartest Model to download. I found it a couple places and despite the fact I'm registered and whatnot with the required sites, it keeps telling me I'm an unregistered user or some such nonsense. Bah! I need my weekly dose of SOVIET!
In other news, it snowed today and is possibly still snowing, but it's too dark to see outside. It started flurrying before 10am. I was telling my students something obviously deep and insightful when I happened to glance out the windows. I stopped mid-sentence and proclaimed, IT'S SNOWING!!!! We all ran to the windows to look outside. Then I promptly told them that we were totally going outside, but we had to get through Religion quickly first. Yup, I teach at a Catholic school and I informed my students that we were speeding through Religion so we could go play. Well, technically we were going outside to celebrate God's creation, so it's not really a bad thing I sped through Religion.
Anyway, we ran outside (yeah, I totally ran outside) after I gave them the Cliff's Notes version of today's Religion reading. The flakes had gotten bigger and more numerous. It was AWESOME. And it just kept on going all day. We watched the cars and sidewalk outside our windows slowly get covered in snow. Completely distracting but I refused to close the blinds because then I wouldn't be able to watch the snow.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a two-hour delay tomorrow. That would rock my nonexistent socks right off.
Now I have to go figure out what kind of science experiments I can do tomorrow afternoon with 24 students, half of which will be from kindergarten. We had to sign up for an activity club which will take place each week during school at the end of the day on Thursdays. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I volunteered to do the science club, not thinking a crapload of kindergartners would sign up. I have had my fill of dealing with 5-year-olds, thankyouverymuch. That's why I switched to second grade. The only upside right now is that two of my favorite boys I taught last year signed up for my club. Excellent.
As usual I have not planned anything and now I have a stack of experiment books to go through in hopes of finding something easy to do tomorrow. I think if we have a delay that will either cancel the club or at least shorten it, which would be good.
Come on, two-hour delay!
