Of Crash Test Dummies and pot smoking

We had already ridden on the fire truck but we couldn't pass up a second ride when we discovered the Chick-Fil-A Cow was going for a ride. It took several firemen to get the cow up the ladder.

The cow huddled in the corner of the truck.

Not only did we have the cow on the ride, one of the Crash Test Dummies decided to come along. That was an amusing ride, waving to people as we drove through the town. The looks were priceless. How many times do you see a fire truck drive by with a cow and a Crash Test Dummy on it?

The cow wanted a picture with the fabulous sign that I made to point people in the direction of the games, which I was supposed to be coordinating, but I ended up ditching it when I realized it was boring, annoying dealing with some of the kids, and I had a helper who seemed much more into it.

The boy scouts abandoned the Crash Test Dummies costumes and Angela and Ellie were allowed to try them on. We promptly headed to Angela’s car and a nearby church parking lot where a wedding was in progress.

Many pictures were taken in that church parking lot after the Dummies did some donuts in Angela's car.

There would've been more pictures taken in the cemetery had I not received a call on my cell from my sister, wondering where we were because the woman who owned the Crash Test Dummies suits was pissed because she wanted to leave. So we headed back.

Turns out the DJ had called for the Crash Test Dummies to come to the stage and I guess when the Dummies didn't appear, the crazy woman became convinced Angela and Ellie had stolen the suits. The best part is that she told my sister that she was certain Angela and Ellie were off smoking pot in the suits.

What the?

No, sorry, crazy lady, we were just doing donuts in the church parking lot and taking pictures in the cemetery. No illegal drugs are needed for us to be lunatics.

She must've told some people that the suits were stolen because when I got back to the games area to do some work for a bit, one of the volunteers asked me if I'd be okay by myself because someone had stolen the Crash Test Dummies suits and she was going to go see if she could help or something. I laughed and told her it was okay, the suits were coming back.

Such drama.

Angela and I missed out on those lemons with the candy sticks in them (you suck the lemon juice through the candy stick straw) so we decided to make our own. We ended up just sucking the juice straight out of the lemon.

To quote the Dead: What a long, strange trip it's been.

We saw Knocked Up last night. If they could just cut the guy's friends out of the movie, it would've been better. It was a typical "let's put unnecessary crap in it to make dumb people laugh at the grossness" movie but it did have its funny moments. I have no desire to see it again though.
