I really don't know what to say

When did schools become so deadly?

In other, less serious news, I woke up to snow this morning. It was completely white outside. With the insane winds it looked like a flippin' blizzard. The creek I cross on my drive to work overflowed (as usual) so I was detoured around it. The closer I got to school, the less white it became. Turns out they didn't get any snow at my school, which would explain why there was no delay out there while the area around my house had delays. Lovely.

One of my boys, completely out of the blue, asked the 8th grade teacher as she was walking by in the hallway, Would you die if you ate your foot?

She just kind of blinked and looked at me. I said We have very deep thoughts in the second grade.

Then she said to the boy Well, it would probably depend on how smelly your foot was.

Yes, deep thoughts indeed.

I was given 20 caterpillars in a kit today by the 5th grade teacher. The kit was given to her free from this place that lends out all these science kits and they had an extra one. We were planning on doing butterflies again this year so this saved us a chunk of change. Sweet. Let's hope it gets warm enough for us to release them in a couple weeks.
