Mondays should be declared an extra day for the weekend. I cannot tolerate them as workdays.

It was pretty darn foggy this morning in places. Lucky me, I got stuck behind the guy who apparently can't see, despite the fact that the road we were on wasn't all that bad. The speed limit was 45 but he insisted on keeping below 35. You should've seen the line of traffic behind him. Annoying way to start my day. It took all I had not to lay on my horn.

Then my kids were just irritating with their talking and their general-"screw-behaving-properly"-ness so I pretty much screamed at them to stop it. You should've heard the silence for a little bit after that outburst. I'm sure they heard me all the way down the hall. Thankfully my door was closed when I yelled.

Then my drive home was nearly cut short when this huge tractor trailer (that really has no right being on the skinny two lane road with no shoulder that we were on) decided that he didn't like his lane and wanted to check out my lane. So the bloody thing came a bit over the line and I screamed "SHIT!" and swerved as far to the right as I could go, which wasn't that far as there's no shoulder, just a wall of dirt. Not a nice way to end my workday, as I already had a headache.

I hate Mondays.

In happier news, I came home to a box waiting for me. As it wasn't from Amazon, I had no idea what it was and stood there staring at it, trying to figure out what was inside as the box was very light. Then it hit me. My Gaelic Storm Live DVD with bumper sticker and one of those foam things you put your can of soda/beer in! My plans for doing my Catechism homework went out the window very quickly. New plan for the evening: watch me some Gaelic Storm and eat a Cadbury Egg, which I was thoroughly delighted to find in Eckerd. The discovery of the Cadbury Eggs on Saturday night led Ellie and I to do happy dances in the aisle and take lots of pictures of us with the boxes of eggs.

driving, mondays are evil
