Nothing says the morning of January 1st quite like chocolate-covered pretzels

New year, new calendars. Good old Get Fuzzy and mini LotR calendar. I’ve got an Ansel Adams daily calendar to keep track of my daily crud I have to do and other important things. All that’s left is to get a wall calendar, although I might skip that one this year.

I seem to have a thing for calendars. Because one just isn’t enough.

My parents came home around 7 last night, as I was contemplating the tuna my mother had in the fridge. My peaceful day immediately became a lot less peaceful as some game was turned on and loud talking ensued. I retreated to the semi-quiet of my room, which I cleaned (well, got the junk off the floor and put the DVDs away) yesterday. I read for a bit, watched The Reduced Shakespeare Company: The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) and was highly amused.

By then it was 11pm, so I flipped through the channels to see if there were any New Year’s Eve shows worth watching. What I got was Regis, some rappers that were bleeped out several times, and a whole bunch of nothing. So I said Do I really need to watch the ball drop for the billionth year in a row? The answer was NO so I was in bed by 11:30. I guess the world didn’t end, as I’m still here.

Must remember to write 2006 now. I wrote 2004 on the board on the last day of school before Christmas and it took the kids about twenty minutes to pick up on my mistake.

new year, calendar love
