It burns us, preciousss
Working 8 hours yesterday on 3 1/2 hours of sleep was interesting, especially when I realized that I felt more awake than I usually do with 8 hours of sleep.
Saw Master and Commander Friday night. I absolutely loved the music and must get the soundtrack. I’m a sucker for strings. The movie was good and Paul Bettany can be my doctor any day.
Wandered the mall last night to kill time before we saw a midnight show of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. But after 2 1/2 hours wandering, we realized we were exhausted and would surely fall asleep during the movie. The mall was full of dopey shoppers and they gave me a headache, breathing all my air and making me breathe in their icky CO2. I was getting claustrophobic.
But the mall wasn’t entirely bad. A cute boy had left his cell phone at a table he had been sitting at when I went to get myself a smoothie and we rescued it for him. We were going to try to call him or someone listed in his phone after we ate so we could get the phone back to him. There were yummy free samples of Japanese chicken nearby so we ate some of that. And then looped around and got some more. And then we went around for a third time for more. That time we bumped into aforementioned cute guy on his way back to his table to find his phone. Went after him and gave him his phone back. Only after he had his phone back did we realize it was one of those picture phones. Damn! Had we known that we definitely would have left him some surprise pictures.
Another interesting moment of the night was that I went into Abercrombie and Fitch for the first time ever. Not for the clothing but for some stalking. I’ll leave it at that.
My head is aching. It’s all stuffed up and I feel all ughie. I work 5 to midnight tonight, which I’m not looking forward to as I’ll miss The Simpsons and Alias. I’ll tape them, of course, but it won’t be the same. I have off tomorrow but I have to do my final for my Classroom Management class which is due Tuesday. And I have to kind of study for my math final that’s on Tuesday as well.
I want to curl up in bed and sleep.
