Excuse me while I scream in major irritation
It’s been a cruddy morning. Worked at 7am and unloaded the lovely truck in the sweltering heat and humidity and got to do the trash and cardboard before they let me leave early at 10am because sales haven’t been good this week. I go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and get two desk lamps and then decide to head to Delaware and hit Best Buy for Chicago, Benny and Joon and Damien Rice’s CD. I get those three and I’m heading for the register, pulling out my money and I stop.
I’m missing $20.
I stuck my babysitting money in my wallet late last night so between then and 10am today someone swiped my $20. It wasn’t my parents so obviously someone at work stole my money. I thought maybe I had dropped it but the only place that would have happened was at the register in Bed, Bath and Beyond and I didn’t drop anything.
So I just bought Benny and Joon and came home, annoyed and ready to sit down and watch this morning’s Breaker High and Young Hercules. But I discover that my dad has ignored the sign I taped on the TV and he’s got the damn History Channel on. Which he isn’t even watching. He’s just listening to it from the next room. So my two shows didn’t tape and of course they were two episodes I didn’t have taped yet. So there’s an added annoyance.
And this damn heat and humidity is certainly not going to help my temper right now.
I’m babysitting tonight. I hope they stay out really late so I can make up for that $20.
I’m going to wander around Amazon.com and see if I can find anything to buy to get me out of my foul mood. Maybe the Raisinets I bought today will help too.
