I'm soapathetic

May 26, 2003 21:44

I have done absolutely nothing that can be considered even remotely productive today. Haven’t even read anything (other than the last three EW issues that I let pile up) and I have yet to watch a movie. My day isn’t productive unless I’ve watched a movie. I’m pathetic.

*looks through massive amount of DVDs next to desk*

Okay, I’m going to watch a movie. I can’t let this day be an entire waste of time. Now if I could only choose which one. I’d really like to watch Freaks because I’m in a circus freak kind of mood, but I don’t feel like putting on pants and going out to Blockbuster. And I’m assuming they don’t have it anyway.

I’m so indecisive sometimes.

If I were a month I would be: December. Cold. Snowy. Aloof. Unavailable. Sometimes I wonder what is going on in my head...
If I were a day of the week I would be: Monday, if I’m in a grouchy mood, Saturday if I’m in a chilling, mellow mood
If I were a time of day I would be: lunchtime
If I were a planet I would be: Uranus. Well, what did you think I was going to put?
If I were a sea animal I would be: a manatee
If I were a direction I would be: sideways
If I were a piece of furniture I would be: a futon. With Frodo on me...

If I were a historical figure I would be: Emily Dickinson. Without the poetic talent
If I were a liquid I would be: water
If I were a stone, I would be: shiny and glittery
If I were a tree, I would be: the tree in our front yard. Could possibly be an oak. It’s stubborn and it’s branches are like barbed wire. I like it.
If I were a bird, I would be: a Raven. So I could go around to random people saying “Nevermore”
If I were a tool, I would be: hehehe, tool. I’d be needle-nose pliers, because that’s what I’m always using.
If I were a flower/plant, I would be: Venus Fly Trap
If I were a kind of weather, I would be: a thunderstorm
If I were a musical instrument, I would be: a keyboard
If I were an animal, I would be: something nocturnal and reclusive
If I were a color, I would be: blue
If I were an emotion, I would be: reclusive. Hmmm, that’s not an emotion, is it. Whatever. How about indifferent? Does that work?
If I were a vegetable, I would be: a potato
If I were a sound, I would be: the voices in your head
If I were an element, I would be: fire
If I were a car, I would be: do you even have to ask this one? A white 89 Honda Civic
If I were a song, I would be: “Nitemare Hippy Girl” by Beck
If I were a movie, I would be directed by: Tim Burton
If I were a book, I would be written by: Lemony Snicket
If I were a food, I would be: brownies, because that’s what I’m craving right now
If I were a place, I would be: a ruin in Ireland
If I were a material, I would be: worn-in cotton
If I were a taste, I would be: chocolate and peanut butter combo
If I were a scent, I would be: freshly clean laundry
If I were a religion, I would be: Jedi
If I were a word, I would be: Yer Mom
If I were an object, I would be: a blank book, preferably one of the ones you can buy at Borders. The ones that I can spend hours petting and drooling over...
If I were a body part I would be: feet
If I were a facial expression I would be: the one eyebrow raise
If I were a subject in school I would be: film
If I were a cartoon character I would be: Sideshow Bob or Wakko Warner
If I were a shape I would be a: an inkblot, made to be analyzed and results in confusing the masses. Okay, I’ve succeeded in confusing myself in answering this one...
If I were a number I would be: 7

Have settled on The Princess Diaries. I don’t know why. Maybe because it’s a white DVD case just sitting there amid all these dark cases. Or maybe I’m just in the mood for some cheesy G-rated Disney fluff.

Before I sink into total G-ratedness, here’s a fun new Ewan quote which I found in this interview talking about Down With Love:

And you had all the [suave and debonair] tools - the martini glasses -
[Interrupting with a laugh] I always come with my own tool.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love that man?
