My oral reading in Poetry class this afternoon wasn’t that bad. The teacher said she liked that poem as well and I didn’t stumble or stutter once while reading it. I myself wasn’t nervous, but just try telling that to my body. The moment she called my name to go read my heart started running a bloody marathon and my face started to burn. And then when I sat down after reading, my stupid hands started shaking. Methinks my brain and my body need to start communicating better when it comes to me not being nervous.
Called my sister to remind her to tape Roar tonight and she had already set it up to tape every Wednesday. I just have to call her and remind her to make sure the tape is in every Wednesday night. Excellent.
Woah. I babysat this evening and I brought my laptop, thinking that I could maybe at least start this paper that I have due for tomorrow. Well, I whipped the entire thing out in the time it took for us to watch all of Max Keeble’s Big Move. I finished it by 8pm and I was even distracted by a dog, two little girls, and the movie. Go me! I think I deserve a reward for this.
Granted I didn’t read over the paper in any way before I printed it out and I honestly have no idea what I wrote, but who gives a shite, right? It’s spring! I’ve got my windows all open and the sky is clear and full of stars and the air smells delicious and I’m in a fairly good mood. This is a rare occasion these days and I need to revel in it.
Off to either reread more of Bridget Jones’s Diary or watch a movie, I haven’t decided which just yet.
