My girlfriend, she's at the end; she is starting to cry

November 28, 2011 Morning - and oh boy is it morning - pages

0330 hrs.

Went to bed about 3 hours ago and have laid there listening to my dog pace the floor, weird traffic on my street, coyotes in the fields, the kids get up to pee and MY HUSBAND SNORE IN MY EAR for three hours. Basically everything but goddamn fuckity fuck sleep.

Here I had been sleeping well for about three days. I was starting to get used to it. Well, wasn’t I the fool for that?

In other important news, I’ve gone over 100 followers on twitter. Hardly seems noting, but for someone of my modest publishing, I suppose that’s good.

I have a whole 18,307 on the Work In Progress, Tanner’s Landing. I will not get to 50k by Wednesday at midnight and honestly I don’t care. I’m not sure that I can do another NaNoWriMo as I cannot endure the pain of editing a “it’s about quantity not quality” manuscript again. I know I can finish a manuscript, that’s not what it’s about for me now. But, I am encouraging others to write and that is fulfillment enough. If I get to 25k it will be a miracle. Heh, it’s an odd-numbered year. I have a kind of track record of not finishing in odd-numbered years. Except 2009; but that manuscript still hasn’t found “the end” but is past 50k. So in essence, I didn’t finish that year either.

I sent off another query for Wilderness Rim. I’m hitting all the up-and-coming agents in hopes it ups my odds. It does seem like I’m playing the ponies in order to survive lately.

Today has much to do, so may as well get started on it. I can nap when I’m dead, yes?
