0530 hrs

When I went to bed last night every light in my neighbor’s house was on. This morning the same thing. I’m concerned that something is wrong. He’s an old man - the land my home sits on used to be part of his farm. He’ll tell you it was the best thing he could do to sell this land. He hated farming. He sold it in 1968 and used it to buy some businesses in town. His wife left him last year. She couldn’t stand the gray winters any more and went down to California. Don’t think they are divorced. They’ve been married too long for that. Just living separate lives. But his home is huge and he rattles around there all by himself. So I’m sitting here wondering if I should go and knock on the door. If the lights don’t turn off when the sun comes up…I think I best. It’s just an unusual look for his home. He’s got security stuff on his property, too. So that if it was like a light timing thing or someone broke in, whatever, I think the alarms would go off. I don’t know. I just know it’s odd and weird. Yep, just looked again. Lights are still on. (Edit:  0900 hrs. Neighbor is fine. He fell asleep after doing some kind of maintenance to the alarm system and he doesn't know why ever light was on. He appreciated my concern. I left him some plumb jam. I feel bad for him rumbling around in that house all by himself.)

Yesterday I was one crazy productive writer. Many thousands of words - over 2k actually. I forgot to keep track. But I was in the high 2k and then ended up just over 5k. The fact that I’m sorely behind does not surprise me. I’ve had to keep stopping and doing research and Monday, I think there may be a trip to Aberdeen, Wash. I have to see some places. Google Earth is not helping there. I’m hoping the weather is nice.

Only thing that was disheartening was that my desk got destroyed again. So that will go on the list of things to do.

This morning I have a meeting with my friend and business partner on The Northwest Art Collective. She owns a shop in town and we’re going to turn a portion into it for nothing but local artisans. I’ve had the URL, a business plan, a marketing and communication plan in place for months and months. But, we lacked a space to hold the co-op. Hubby is going to help us enclose her porch so we can get some extra space and change up some things. Then finally feature the local artist’s as they should. If it goes well, we’ll rent a separate space. But, that’s down the road.

I’ve already gotten both fire places going this morning. Not as chilly as it’s been; but, then again I’ve been running cold since Sunday when I got ill. Just can’t seem to shake being cold. That is an odd state for me, since I’m normally the one running hot while everyone else is freezing.

Have a play to see tonight. But, first I have to turn in my review of last Friday. Been a crazy week. I should have done it last night. Honestly, it just fell off my radar because of working that long Saturday and then being sick. It’s time to get cracking, as they are known to say.
