Operation Push Up Queen Day #10

Some of you seem confused either by comments or mail you're sending me on this challenge Hubby and I have for ourselves, inspired by my dear LJ friend phillipalden .

Since our move to Washington in early June 2006, our life became a bit more complicated. It became a bit easier in some ways -- the general level of joy in Washingtonians compared to those of Michiganders is considerably higher and thereby the general positiveness of our lives increased. But, like I said it got more complicated. Our commute is longer. Mine went from 20 miles roundtrip to 88 miles roundtrip; his went from 6 miles roundtrip to 26 miles roundtrip. We lost our primary child care giver. And we've moved houses three times since moving here.

So our fitness level decreased and then physical activity really took a back seat to just keeping up. So, we're hoping with Operation Push-Up Queen, we'll slowly begin to make it habit again. Push-ups now, then add sit ups and then daily walks and bam! we're back in the saddle again.

So this morning we did our push-ups and there was grunting but no stopping. I think tomorrow I will try full-form again.

However, I have been suffering form a headache for three days straight. I'm sure it's stress (work...grrr!) and the little voice in my head telling me I'm running out of time for getting my first pages ready on Wilderness Rim.  I confirmed my registration for the Society of Children Book Writers and Illustraters conference in May last night. There are at least three people I'm going to pitch my book to -- at least.

And I'm starting to think my youngest has literal hearing issues -- not just normal 'he's a kid' hearing things (read: just not listening) and that perhaps he has a bit of dislexia, which if he has a hearing issue might impact his learning regardless.

So, I guess I need to call the doctor.
