anyone else from kentucky make it to the polls? honestly, did anyone know who to vote for? i left approximately 95% of the ballots empty, and i follow politics. school board? circuit court judge? family court judge? court of appeals? court jester? best smile?

i was thinking that they should hand out, or have for perusal, resumes of the candidates, available at all polling locations. at least that way we would be somewhat informed in our ignorance. you know, schools, awards, pets, favorite beer etc. i understand that judges are supposed to be non-partisan, so i don't want stances, but i wouldn't mind credentials. especially when i have about 60 positions to vote for.

after thought: are you allowed to take notes into the voting booth?

p.s. i want a refferendum on the ballot next time. that will make me feel like i'm experiencing democracy in action!! yes to gay marriage!!!! no to social security privitization!!!!! cut the deficit!!!!!!!!

seriously though, did anyone read about the referrendum in arizona? they were thinking of randomly choosing someone who voted in the state to win $1M, thinking this would increase voter turn out. which it would, but proabably not informed voter turn out. so that begs the question, do we care if theyre just in it for the money?

i apologize for my inability to spell referrendum.
